ANNUAL ISRAEL BROOKS MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Annual Israel Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament is held every year on the first Monday in October (Columbus Day). The tournament marks the anniversary for the golf tournament.
The Israel Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament was established in 2008. The tournament is named in honor of the late Major Israel Brooks, Jr. - the first African American State Trooper in South Carolina and an U.S. Marshal - who loved the game of golf. The Israel Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament is designed to generate funds to help students financially obtain a college education.
Proceeds from the tournament will provide scholarships to high school and undergraduate students in pursuit of educational excellence.
